Guidelines
The guidelines for stock crossings have been reviewed to ensure that they are current and reflect the changes in the legislative and regulatory environment that have been introduced since the Guidelines were first developed in 2002-2004. As before, the Guidelines include:
- An analysis of the problems with stock crossings and stock droving
- The current legislative framework
- Options for stock control
- Treatments on road
- Stock underpasses
- Financial inducements
- Sample bylaw, layouts of stock crossings, Memorandum of Encumbrance for an Underpass, tools to determine stock crossing/underpass requirements.
New flow charts have been incorporated into the sample bylaw to provide clear guidance on the processes to be followed in determining the appropriate consent for stock movements along and across roads.
