Stormwater Resource Material
The Stormwater Group has identified a number of external resources which are useful to the roading or stormwater practitioner. These resources include:
-
On-site Stormwater Management Guidelines, published jointly by the Ministry for the Environment and the New Zealand Water Environment Research Foundation in October 2004.
-
Publications by Kingett Mitchell, including research conducted on contaminants on roads and in road run-off and run-off from rooves.
-
Ministry of Transport research into the effects of transport on the ecosystem, including identifying trace elements emanating from motor vehicles, and vehicle emissions.
-
Auckland Regional Council Technical Publications, designed for Auckland application, but which can be adapted for use elsewhere, especially TP90, TP124 and TP10.
-
Information on climate change effects from Quality Planning.
-
Engineering Lifelines publications, produced for Auckland by the Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management.
There are also useful resources cited on the Case Studies page and an extensive resource list is included within our FAQ section. The NZTA Stormwater Treatment Standard for State Highway Infrastructure contains detailed resource material and the ARC Stormwater Seminars provide regular updates on current practices.
