RCA Forum Stormwater Group FAQ Sheets
Overview                                                  

  Introduction
The need for a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) web page has been identified by RCA Forum Stormwater Group members.  This need has arisen from:

• A perceived lack of simple and easily accessible information of direct relevance to New Zealand road infrastructure;
• Variability in understanding, practice, and attitudes to stormwater related matters throughout RCA member organizations and their representatives; and
• The need to communicate RCA needs and requirements to other parties (e.g. regional councils and the public).

These precepts, together with the wide range of matters that stormwater encompasses have guided the development of the FAQs into a series.  The series will be developed progressively to enable:

• Consideration, review, and feedback from RCA Forum Stormwater Group members;
• A staged roll out that will enable some information to be loaded to the web site in the short term, and then progressively refreshed and expanded; and
• The range of matters to be reviewed, refined, and / or expanded once the key issues have been addressed.
  

The FAQs will be posted on the Forum web site together with other supplementary information (such as case studies) as these are developed.

Member Feedback
Feedback and guidance on the FAQs and matters of interest to RCA Forum members has come from the national RCA Forum stormwater workshops in 2007 and 2008.  This feedback has been integrated into the development of the series, and the range of FAQs proposed.
